Borghini Oro Polished Quartz Wet Bar in Belgrade, Montana
Project Backstory
When the homeowners in Belgrade, Montana came to us, their basement had an unused corner that was not doing much for the space. They wanted to turn it into a wet bar they could actually enjoy, a spot for pouring drinks and gathering without feeling like an afterthought tucked below the main floor.
We fabricated and installed Borghini Oro quartz in a 3cm polished slab for the bar top. The soft gold veining runs across a light background, and the polished finish gives it a clean reflective surface that brightens the lower level. We finished the perimeter with an eased edge, a squared profile with a gently softened corner that holds up well in a bar where glasses and bottles get set down often. Because quartz is engineered and non-porous, it is a practical fit for a room that sees regular use.
To ground the design, we paired the counter with Diamond Vibe maple cabinets in a full overlay layout, painted in a calm green called Retreat. The green cabinetry against the gold and white quartz turned the former empty corner into a refreshing nook that feels finished and intentional. It is the kind of built-in that makes the whole basement more inviting to spend time in.

Yes. Quartz is engineered and non-porous, so it resists staining from wine, citrus, and other bar spills without needing to be sealed. The polished finish on Borghini Oro wipes clean easily, which matters in a spot where drinks get made and set down regularly.
Day to day care is simple. Wipe it with mild soap and water or a gentle surface cleaner, and dry it to keep the polished surface bright. Avoid harsh or abrasive cleaners and skip scouring pads. Quartz is heat sensitive, so use a trivet under hot pans or kettles rather than placing them directly on the top.
Borghini Oro is designed to give you the light background and gold veining people love in marble, but with the durability of quartz. Unlike marble, it will not etch from acidic drinks and does not need periodic sealing, so you get a marble inspired look with far less upkeep in a hardworking bar area.
